Heilbrunn Nurse Scholar Award


Registered nurses in a doctoral program who have completed their dissertation proposal defense, or doctorally-prepared nurses who are actively engaged in nursing science.



The Heilbrunn Family Nurse Scholar Award is a 1-2 year program that provides financial support for nurses to pursue independent research projects and make a contribution to the discipline of nursing. The maximum amount of funding per proposal is $25,000 (total). The award is individualized for each nurse scholar and supports activities such as data collection, data analysis, conference travel, etc. There are no indirect costs covered with this award. The nurse scholar will have ongoing communication with the Director of the Heilbrunn Family Center for mentorship and will be required to present periodic updates on their research study to the RUH nursing staff.  An annual report will be submitted by the scholar to summarize expenditures and productivity.



Eligible applicants will submit the attached application on line at between January 20-30, 2021. Please submit the proposal as one document in PDF format as directed on the web site.
